For Traveling, Traveler
The Directv Traveler by Winegard works fantastic! It takes about 3 minutes to find all 5 satellites. The TV picture is great. I knocked it down by 1 star due to damage in shipping for the first unit I received. The second unit showed some shipping problems, but no damage.
Excellent Product (only testing so far)
This product enables DirecTV High Definition, only RV dish currently available which does that. It is not useful for in-motion service. Be sure to power on and Park the dish before moving.
With just testing of the installation so far, I'm very impressed with the product. Much simpler to operate than the older single satellite Winegard product that it replaced which required that I continue to hit search after it found the wrong sats.
It takes a little while to complete the search and connection and verification to satellites at 101,110 and 119. In the process, it finds and tweaks the signal on the first of those that it finds and then searches for the remaining ones and verifies connection to all of those satellites. This is a little confusing since verification of those completes connection to the remaining satellites that are required for DirecTV HD, multiples at 99 and 103.
It doesn't require that the receivers be active for the search to operate and can be powered down after the search is completed.
